Yes, I used it with the drive component set to "virtual". I can move the shelves up and down with this drive. But I cannot simulate the situation where the loaded shelves are raised, the drive is switched off and the brake is not closed. In such a situation in a real machine, the shelves will fall down spontaneously - due to the load and gravity.
